A safe space for everyone to explore the journey of anxiety based disorders

Join us along the way to read weekly posts surrounding how to combat anxiety and thrive in the beauty of the world, even if it may seem dim.

Hello everyone and welcome to Mind0verMatter, an open space to create and forge discussions around stigmatized anxiety based conditions.

Our aim is to educate. If you yourself are suffering or know anyone else that is, Mind0verMatter is here to share stories, offer advice, companionship, and perhaps just a reminder that you are not alone.

Anxiety is a feeling of unease, such as worry or fear, that can be mild or severe. It usually is the main symptom of several conditions including: panic disorder, phobias, PTSD and social anxiety, all of which are as common as a cold!

Why do we all feel like this? We all go through our lives dealing with different situations, individualized story lines, successes and failures. We all feel nervousness and we all feel excitement, so why does the feeling of anxiety seem so scary and often unheard of?

Some of you may be thinking ‘well what do they know’ or ‘no one will understand why i feel this way’. I certainly felt like this, wishing someone would just simply understand. I write from years of suffering with anxiety, endless therapies and a curious mind as to why some of us experience this natural physical phenomenon worse than others.

Is it bad thinking styles, situations or a predisposition? The answer is, in my opinion, it’s everything! Not to worry though as everything is perception and perceptions can be changed.

MindOverMatter is a break from the endless scroll of perfect lives, offering a true, heartfelt in-depth discussion about anxiety based conditions. We are all different and have different stories to share and different emotions to feel. Let’s celebrate those differences together.

Please feel free to share your story, advice or your general curiosity into the world of anxiety.
